Well done to everyone who competed in this weekend's Clout Championships at MacCleans College on Saturday. The weather was blustery, windy, with icy cold showers, and yet we had a record turnout of 20 people coming, most of whom had never done it before!
For those who aren't sure what Clout is, Clout is a form of archery in which archers shoot arrows at a flag (known as "the Clout") from a relatively long distance and score points depending on how close each arrow lands to the flag. The Novices this year shot at 80m, while the more experienced archers shot at 145m, 165m and the Men's Compound shot at 185m.
Congratulations to Kathryn Malan, who scored a perfect round, and to Eamonn Gaffney who equalled the Men's Compound Club Record.
Thanks for coming, everyone, and we look forward to seeing you next week at the Field Champs in Whitford.
