AAC Coaching for Beginners

The Club offers a 4 week beginners archery course on Saturday mornings at One Tree Hill, four times a year in conjunction with the school terms  It is for anyone of any age above 10 years old.  Courses are run on Saturdays from 10am until 12pm, and the club will supply the equipment.  

Congratulations to all those who completed the 2011 courses!  We've had a lot of interest and it's been absolutely brilliant to have so many of you join our club.

The times and dates for our 2012 courses are as follows:

• 4 February - 3 March (18 February is an archery tournament at the club, you are welcome to come and watch!)
• 28 April - 19 May
• 14 July - 4 August
• 13 October - 10 November (with 20 October off because of Labour weekend)

Coaches are allocated to a ratio of one coach to four archers so that novices receive the necessary attention required.  The maximum number currently for each 4 week coaching course is 16 beginners at one time.

Please be aware that we usually only take children from the age of 10 because we are limited by equipment.  If your child is 8 or 9 and you're interested in getting them into archery, please bring them along to one of our Have a Go days.
