MEMBERSHIP

We have a variety of membership options at Auckland Archery Club. Learn about our options, fees and key requests.

WHAT WE DO

Auckland Archery Club provides our archers the opportunity to learn and develop their shooting skills.

We host Have a Go days for the public, and for those wishing to start archery more seriously, hold Beginners Courses throughout the year.

Members participate in the club Achievement Programme to improve their skills and can take part in different distance shoots on Saturdays and Sundays.

For our competitive archers we host a number of tournaments throughout the year, as well as providing a space for them to train during the week. We have an 18-metre indoor range in addition to our 70-metre fourteen-lane outdoor range.

New members are always welcome, from beginners to experienced competitors.

“Great club, introduced me to archery and changed my life.” (taken from a recent membership survey)

AAC club member Finn and associates member Nuala need some support. Check out the post below from Archery NZ with the details of their archery journey. We all know that competing in international sporting events is expensive and Nuala Edmundson and Finn Matheson know better than most. Each has proudly self-funded their way to a number of international competitions already this year, Nuala to Australia for Trans-Tasman and Oceania and to Ireland for the World Youth Champs and Finn to Australia for the Oceania Champs and to Singapore for World Archery Asia Cup #3. There’s more to come of course – there’s the Pacific Games in November (they’ve been selected for that), and then there’s next year's World Cups, World Champs and February's Chula Vista Pre-Olympic Training Camp in the US. It’s a challenge that, with your help, they’re definitely up for. They’re a credit to our sport and so very proud to wear the fern – and we’re proud of them too. This time we’re hitting everyone up for some help with crowd funding and we’ve got some sponsorship ‘irons in the fire’ as well. Our givealittle page link is below and its active already. Here it is ... feel free to contribute and share the link widely.givealittle.co.nz/cause/the-two-top-nz-archers-are-off-to-the-pacific#!In addition, you can follow the progress of our archers up to and during the games by joining this Facebook group:www.facebook.com/groups/319052854131965Thanks to our photographers and writers we’ll keep you posted with updates and quirky novelties like favourite recipes, training tips, and everything else that contributes to competing at world level events (well, maybe not favourite recipes, but who knows ... )The board of Archery NZ has approved this fundraising and we all thank you, in advance, for your generosity. Sponsorship opportunities are available, including a negotiable benefit package, should you, or your business, wish to explore this option. Please join our athletes on this exciting journey. Your generous support is genuinely valued.#EarnTheFern ... See MoreSee Less
