TRY ARCHERY
There are several ways in which to join the Auckland Archery Club, depending on whether you have previous archery experience either in New Zealand or overseas.
YOUTH
Youth archers are any shooting members under 21 years old. Find out more about coaching, upcoming events, and when you can come and shoot.

We have a variety of membership options at Auckland Archery Club. Learn about our options, fees and key requests.
WHAT WE DO
Auckland Archery Club provides our archers the opportunity to learn and develop their shooting skills.
We host Have a Go days for the public, and for those wishing to start archery more seriously, hold Beginners Courses throughout the year.
Members participate in the club Achievement Programme to improve their skills and can take part in different distance shoots on Saturdays and Sundays.
For our competitive archers we host a number of tournaments throughout the year, as well as providing a space for them to train during the week. We have an 18-metre indoor range in addition to our 70-metre fourteen-lane outdoor range.
New members are always welcome, from beginners to experienced competitors.

Congratulations to Coach George Corbett who has completed the intensive 6 day Level 2 Performance coaching course at the World Archery Excellence Centre in Lausanne Switzerland.

The 35th annual Masters Games will be held in Otepoti Dunedin from February 3-11. Over nine days and nights, an estimated 5,000+ people from around New Zealand, Australia, and the globe will come together to enjoy Aotearoa's largest annual multi-sport event.![]()
This will be the 16th year Dunedin hosts the Games and we look forward to welcoming back familiar faces and introducing newcomers to everything the event has to offer. ![]()
There are over 60 sports on offer at the Masters Games, and we need your help to spread the word. There is something for everyone! Any assistance in promoting this event would be much appreciated, whether this is including something on your website, in your newsletter, in your clubrooms and on your Facebook page.![]()

Competitors do not need to be an elite athlete to compete and do not need to qualify - anyone can register for the Games, whether to win, to beat their personal record, or just to have fun!![]()

AAC club member Finn and associates member Nuala need some support. ![]()
Check out the post below from Archery NZ with the details of their archery journey.We all know that competing in international sporting events is expensive and Nuala Edmundson and Finn Matheson know better than most. Each has proudly self-funded their way to a number of international competitions already this year, Nuala to Australia for Trans-Tasman and Oceania and to Ireland for the World Youth Champs and Finn to Australia for the Oceania Champs and to Singapore for World Archery Asia Cup #3. There’s more to come of course – there’s the Pacific Games in November (they’ve been selected for that), and then there’s next year's World Cups, World Champs and February's Chula Vista Pre-Olympic Training Camp in the US. It’s a challenge that, with your help, they’re definitely up for. They’re a credit to our sport and so very proud to wear the fern – and we’re proud of them too.![]()

On Sunday we hosted an Archery NZ Foundation coaching course. ![]()
Congratulations to the 14 new coaches who successfully completed their training.
After a beautiful Saturday of course the wind and cold air came back strong on Sunday for the first registered major tournament of the outdoor season.![]()
Even with the challenging conditions some shiny new Archery NZ 720 pins were awarded!
Big day at the club today, even bringing out the portable targets to fit everyone on the line! ![]()
